Let’s get to it!

What is ClickFunnels Used For?

ClickFunnels is used for business owners and agencies to be able to make websites and sales funnels without having to have an in-house tech team.

It is a platform for people who don’t know how to code, but know the power of sales funnels. ClickFunnels will help you lead your visitors step-by-step through the buyer’s journey from opt-in to sale, and future sales beyond that.

The simple drag-and-drop page editor makes it easy to have a website up in a fraction of the time as you would normally need to build a website, and is already set-up to help with high conversion success.

Most websites are pieced together with various plugins, code, and systems that may convolute the build process, and can take more time than you want to build. This may not be such a bad thing if you know what you are doing, but if you are not heavy on technical skills, then ClickFunnels is the platform for you.

How Can ClickFunnels Help Your Business?

ClickFunnels is built to be easy for your business to use, so if you don’t have anyone in-house that can do technical things like build websites or sales funnels, then your business needs a program like ClickFunnels.

If you are selling a product or service, sales funnels are an amazing way to get leads in the door, teach them about your offering, why they need it and not only sell them something, but possibly upsell them to higher priced (high ticket) items.

The idea is that if you have gained the trust of the consumer and they pull their wallet out, they have given your business and your product their seal of approval. This is the time when they are most likely to buy more products from you, when they are already spending money with you.

So if you are in the business of selling whey protein for bodybuilders, your upsell (next page in the funnel the customer is redirected to after the initial purchase) could be more of the same product, but at a discount. People need to stock up after all.

If you sell a lawn mowing service, your initial sales page may be a lawn mowing, and your upsell could be either a discount on a continual maintenance program, or something simple like throwing in shrub trimming for an extra 10%.

The beauty of ClickFunnels is that when a visitor enters their credit card information on the first page, they don’t need to enter it again on the next pages of the funnel. It’s a simple click to add to their original order.

Remove the friction of purchasing in this way and you have the recipe to scale your business like crazy.

Can ClickFunnels Replace Your Website?

ClickFunnels can be used to replace your website by streamlining the sales process. Instead of giving people countless options to click around your traditional website with no one call-to-action, a sales funnel gives the visitor one obvious call to action to help make the sale as frictionless as possible.

If you like the look of a traditional website, ClickFunnels does have a template that mimics this format with different navigation items along the top to click on, but each page is streamlined for conversion, giving one clear call-to-action across all pages. Visitors should never be confused about what you want them to do next.

Instead of replacing your website, or using the optimized template, you do have a third option.

You can have your normal site wherever you want, and you can simply host your sales funnel on the ClickFunnels platform. You would accomplish this by making a subdomain for your funnel and pointing it to ClickFunnels instead of your normal website platform. So if I were to do this with my site, I would have mastersalesfunnels.com be my normal website on WordPress (which it is), and then I could have seocourse.mastersalesfunnels.com be my sales funnel domain.

Using a subdomain is a little bit more advanced, but ClickFunnels has tutorials to help walk you through setting this up if this is the path you want to go.

Types of Funnels For Your Business

There are a ton of different types of funnels that you can use in your business. It would be difficult to list them all here.

A simple one to start with is the Opt-In funnel.

Opt-In Funnel

In this funnel you give something away for free (a guide, ebook, checklist, whitepaper, etc.) in exchange for the visitor’s email address. You can run paid ads to your opt-in page, and include the opt-in on your blog posts. It will likely cost you money to acquire the leads, but you are provided value to people who are interested in your content, and then you will be able to market to them for paid products via email.

Free Plus Shipping funnels are a favorite of ClickFunnels founder Russell Brunson.

It’s how he sells all of his books.

Free Plus Shipping Funnel

He offers the book for free, and all the visitor has to do is pay shipping and handling to help offset his costs. This offers massive value to the visitor through his amazing content, and then he offers even more value with paid offers on upsell pages through the rest of the funnel.

You can check it out via my affiliate link for DotCom Secrets here.

DotCom Secrets is an amazing book that will introduce you to the concept of funnels and email marketing by-the-way. It’s what really got me into funnels, and if you are new to the game, there is no better way to pick it up than for free.

Another common funnel is the Webinar Funnel.

Webinar Funnel

You get people to sign up for a free webinar where you teach them valuable content, and then have a link at the end where they can buy a course, one-on-one training, or whatever you next step in the value ladder contains. Provide value, and then sell.

All of these funnels and many more have pre-built templates ready to go inside of ClickFunnels.

Agency Use of ClickFunnels

Websites aren’t traditionally designed to sell products.

They are more designed as a digital brochure that simply gives people information and then hopes they hit the contact page to send the owner a message.

Is that what you want to sell your agency clients?

Or do you want to sell them tried and tested methods that sell products and services?

You want to give your clients a sales funnel.

While 1 ClickFunnel account can only host up to 3 domains, you can make extra money by selling ClickFunnels to your clients.

Build ClickFunnels into the monthly cost that your agency charges and build your clients a turbo charged funnel that will launch their business to the next level.

The best part?

As a current ClickFunnels member you are automatically an affiliate and can earn up to 40% commissions for people you sell subscriptions to. That means you are not only getting paid by your client for your services plus their ClickFunnels subscription, but you are also getting money back from ClickFunnels because you made the sale to begin with.

That’s money that you can pocket or pass back to your clients.

If you upgrade to ClickFunnels Platinum for $297/mo you are allowed unlimited funnels, unlimited pages, you can connect up to 9 domains, and you get hours of additional training and course to up your funnel game. You also get access to something called follow-up funnels which allows you to reconnect with people after they’ve left your funnel to try and continue to help them and sell them your products.

The highest level tier is called the ClickFunnel Collective and runs $1,497/mo. With this level you get everything that you get in the collective, but you get to use up to 27 different domains, and you get access to some of the most elite trainings in copywriting and media buying.
